Just looking at the NRA "hunting class" and its stating a max weight of 4.1kg. Putting a scope on it at typically 500g, that leaves a rifle of 3.6kg which seems quite a hard spec to meet? So tikka lite? hmmm.

"I do not wish to be a pawn or canon fodder on the whims of MY Government"
Many hunting rifles will be less than 3.6kg.
My Sako 75 laminate is 2.8kg excluding scope and rings.
My Sako 75 Finnlight is 3.1kg bare rifle.
So a bit more leeway than what you would think.
Welcome to Sako club.
Never bothered with rifle weight, I got 20kg to lose off my waistline before I worry about my pack or rifle
Doesn't seem hard to meet.
I have a Tikka lite, but a Bell and Carlson stock which is a fair bit heavier than the standard, a Vortex HST which isn't a light weight and an ASE utra can, which again isn't light weight, and the the full set up weighs 4.2kg.
Kimber Adirondack in 6.5 Creedmoor
Factory 18" threaded barrel, blind 4rd mag
I added a Mountain Assent style bolt handle that I sourced from the States that is made from titanium
Talley rings and a 2.5-8x36 VX3
Weight includes the 1 round shown
This is 4 rounds in the mag, optilocks, VX6, and DPT Magnum, could go lighter by running a brake, vx3i etc but it already feels like I'm carting a toy around.
Ps: good to see even the scales know the worth of a kimber
