Mates Sako Finnlight with that shit rubberised coating....sticky not caused by oils or solvents....hardly used and happened within three years of new.

My 75 Finnlight rubber grips are still going strong.
Damp/wet cloth with a bit of Jif cleaner bring up the rubber grips just like new.

He’s referring to the soft touch coating applied to the plastic stock, not the actual rubber grip panels.

Correct, whole stock goes sticky....

I've just had my carbon light stock recoated as it did the same.
It's come back better than new.

So what did you get it recoated with???

Have an early 85 finnlight with the soft touch stock that went sticky all over. Thought it was sweat from my hands initally..washing it made no differece...

It got more sticky as time went on. Stripped the coating off a while back. Have owned 2 that have had this problem. The last one Beretta actually replaced the stock for me...So it is obviously something there definitly aware of..

Mates beretta shotgun grips did the same,tacky and falling apart,only gets used about 10 times a year.
