    riflescope

    Hi,

I am new to this forum

Can anyone help me with info/specs on the T Eagle 4x16-44 AOE scope?

I received one as a gift and would like to know if this scope is strong enough to handle a Lee Enfield .308 (Musgrave barrel) conversion.

At ~$120, I wouldn't be certain of the "Military Quality".....

    Hi 6x47

The only military part of this rifle is the receiver frame, woodwork, bolt action and 10 round 303 magazine (already converted mag to load .308)

The rifle was converted for single shot target shooting with a 308 Musgrave barrel and target Parker Hale sights fitted and the receiver glass-bedded with a "floating" barrel for improved accuracy. The recoil of the 308 cartridge is much less compared to 303.

I had the magazine conversion done to feed 10 rounds 308 as per the normal mag feed setup.

I read a thread from a shooter in US that springer or air rifle scopes tend to be much stronger to absorbing recoil when used on some centrefire ammo up to 30-06 caliber, as the internals are fitted with the spring and piston recoil considered.

I am open to change the scope to one of firearm specs, but seeing that I got it for free, there is no harm in trying it out.

    Thanks for your response.

    Thanks Muzza

    I will do so.

Just hope this lockdown will end soon as I can't wait to have some range time .
