Yeah, best to clean and separate silencers/suppressors from the firearm. They collect a lot of carbon deposits, and leaving it on a barrel, with the suppressor facing up, can eventually cause solid carbon deposits in your crown and barrel
Also when you have steel and alloys (or just different metals), in contact with each other, you have the potential for galvanic corrosion – especially if the rifle is wet or storage is damp.
