There won't be any issues just the suppressor will be larger and heavier than what you need.

I have an older Manders spring and washers type suppressor on a .22 and it works extremely well with subsonic ammunition but not so with the normal high velocity ammo. I have always wondered if you get one of the newer fixed baffle types of suppressors if they will reduce the noise dramatically when firing the high velocity rounds and if so by how much? Also would there be any difference in noise reduction between a centrefire and a rim fire suppressor when used on a 22 rim fire?
Bigger can, bigger suppression.
Narrow tolerance, bigger suppression. "Problem" using a 6.5mm CF suppressor for .22RF is not that it is CF suppressor, but that it is for 6.5mm, not 5.6mm. Holes are a bit bigger than they need to be, or rather not as tight as they ought to be.
put my spartan .223 can on the .22lr for grins and giggles....yeah it works but so does the old manders . hoped it would make supers quiet but the crack is still there.
We do not recommend using .22LR in centrefire calibre suppressors.
As rimfire ammunition can be quite dirty and can produce a lot of fouling inside the suppressor.
And the most extreme case is one old BR Reflex suppressor coming back to us, that had most likely exploded due to the amount of unburned powder in it from massive rimfire firing.
We have not seen any other suppressor before or since, that had peeled out like that.
Rimfire suppressors are very economical to buy for those calibres.

Less of an issue with a DPT as baffles unscrew so it can be assessed and cleaned if need be. I only use a 7mm Dpt on most of my rifles 7mm08, 6.5x47, 223 and 270. And have one dedicated 30cal magnum suppressor.Quote:

As they don’t have removable baffles so the extra build up of carbon could be a problem
