Rossi is another of the Brazilian rifle makes. Others include Magtech, CBC etc - possibly same factories. Magtech semiautos are a copy of Marlins without microgroove barrels etc - not nearly as good.
Have played with several Brazil 22s and they are very very basic. Variable quality, patchy reliability and performance. One example was the worst new 22 I'd seen. You may get an ok 22, you may get a crapper. Better to take mimms advice and if budget is a factor buy a 2ndhand Norinco JW15 setup. Not Polytech brand JWs or GC ones - have seen real duds from them. Norinco JW again an entry level 22, but actions often smoother, better second hand or after a little bolt/trigger polishing. Almost always very accurate for bunny rifles. A chopped 16" JW is one of my favourite workers. Here's one in the Manawatu where you are??

This has a good little Nikko 4x32AO scope, silencer etc - and the setup costs less. Alternatively wait for a Marlin bolt - models 25/925/980 etc. The Norinco Em332 mentioned above is a gem with right ammos - costs more but worth it.
