Thread: Ruger #1 303 or 7x57

Ring wilsons sports in Whanganui, last time I was there he had a few, .257 robbers, 6.5x55 and .35 whealan, and a I think a .308, had a few on order. he can get in them in with a bit of a wait. I almost ordered a stainless mannlicher.
I go 7x57.
I had a 1S in 300 H&H, that I foolishly sold, as it was rather heavy, and I wanted a bolt action 300 H&H, the number one shot 180 gr very well and I shot a few deer, with it.

@southernman if you are interested in the 375 H&H................I know if I ever was to sell the 303 I would regret it. It would not be foolish decision as it would be thought about long and hard, it would be a decision made after considering all pros and cons and even being that considered, I know I would still regret it.

Thanks for the offer, But I'm pretty vested, in the 9.3Bore with a 62 and 74, so no real need for a .375, they are great rifles but the # 1S (safari) is sum what heavy, plus I've burnt up most of my toy fund, buying a set extra set, of double rifle barrels.
