    Ruger 10/22 Magnum

Is there anybody that has had any experiences with one of these? Good, bad, indifferent? Does anybody own one? You don't see them much anymore.

I’ve got one. I like it cos it’s a bit unusual, great for goats.

It Does catch the occasional spent shell in the action but doesn’t really worry me. Seems to like heavier bullets.

If you find one you should buy it, call it an investment

What sort of coin should one be worth? Looks to be really good and clean no chips or scratches on metalwork or trigger guard a couple of scratches on stock.

How far could you ethically shoot at a fallow with 22mag?

Every shotgun is different but even with a full choke, the pattern is going to become too wide before the pellets lose enough velocity and energy. Therefore with 'OO' buckshot in a full choke shotgun, I would give it a max of 50 yards.
A good job and a good wife has been the ruin of many a good hunter.

Shooting them out of a forestry block with residents nearby so was suppressed and longest shot was 40m mostly 10-30.
Shot 18 animals and never lost/ wounded one all headshots only busted afew in the riverbed section of the block same

My mate has two, one is for parts as they are prone to cracking the bolts.

Apart from that they are pretty good, just make sure you keep em clean or they can have reliability issues.

I have a rem 597 in 22 mag with a new barrel I’m trying to get to shoot, so far I have free floated the barrel so will see how it goes.

Next will be bedding and a suppressor.

used one years ago..fella who owned it regularly head shot fallow in spotlight with it...he had red lazer attached to top of scope....now listen up here fellas as this bit is GOLD.... when red dot was above Xhair, animal under 50 yards spot on at50 everything together, projectile Xhair and red dot on animal..past 50 yards the dot dropped below Xhairs ,its a systen worth pissing around with if do alot of night work as it gives you rangefinder..you can use it at any range.... just need to know where in scope it will place dot.....easy to work that out before you venture out.
