    Ruger 10/22 vs Norinco JW15S

Hey peeps I am looking at getting a new 22, what are your thoughts on the above two? Im swinging more towards a ruger because they have a good name and parts are so readily available for them but I am open to suggestions on the Norinco as I have heard good things about them too

Marlin 795 over a ruger. I have had a Ruger and sold it to get my Marlin. More accurate and reliable in my experience. Ruger is still a good choice. JW15 are great for their price, I had to modify the mag on mine to get it to feed well. Can't really go wrong with either, comes down to whether you want a semi or a bolt. The Marlin is defiantly giving a look.

Would prefer a semi, will look at a Marlin though, I have heard the Norinco Semi .22s are prone to jamming?

Go with the Ruger and if you can afford it go for the stainless model with a houge stock. You won't be disappointed.
    Tone and Dougie like this.

Had a bad run with Norincos, Ruger 10 .22 is my favorite wee light bunny buster. +1 with Eltoro.

Go for the marlin semi auto dude then you don't have to spend shitloads on aftermarket bits to get it to shoot right. Got a mate who has a marlin .22 he loves it and it kills everything it points at. Personally myself I am a bolt action fan and wish I still had my JW15

I had a ruger, then got a JW for my boy because of it's simplicity. Guess what. Though I loved my ruger, I sold it and bought a JW myself too. Don't regret it. The JW has improved my trigger control and wasted less ammo.

I got a JW ,for the money you cant go wrong. Most of em shoot pretty well.
All comes down to whether you want a bolt or semi?

iv had both and still own the ruger, the jw15s are rough as guts and are prone to issues with the mags
the rugers are a much better quality unit.

comparing a jw15 mag to a ruger mag is like comparing a LADA to a Hilux. Putting a brno mag into a Jw15 instantly doubles its value in my eyes
DEDs just recently had a sale for S/S rugers for 399.

I have found that my Ruger also jammed from time to time so I have completely stopped using sub sonic rounds and just to be doubly sure threw away the magazine and invested in a new one as I did't know whether the issue was insufficient gas or a weak spring in the magazine
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

My JW15 no probs with original mags but the plastic CZ mags jam every time.

Then chuck it in a boyds laminate thumbhole stock and it will look pretty sexy.
