Question Ruger 10/22 - whats the best stock out there?

I'm in the market for a new 10/22 stock, so I can use a .920" carbon tension barrel I picked up.

The little ruger is currently sporting a hogue stock. While nice to hold, it is not very rigid, so caused differing pressure on the barrel when shooting offhand vs off a fence post or bipod.

Has anyone managed to get their hands on one of these?
    Victor Company USA

It seems to tick a lot of boxes, including securing the action both front and rear, which has always been a problem with the 10/22.

I need to buy another stock to accept the .920" barrel, so was wanting something I didn't need to modify out of the box. Re-reading my original post, it's not clear that was what I was doing.
Running a 1" corebox cutter down the Hogue sporter barrel stock to make the barrel fit would just make it so flexible it would be pointless. (I contemplated it).

I put my 10/22 into one of those ati Dragnov styled stocks and it became far easier to shoot accurately

Agree with smidey the ati stock is much better especially for unsupported shooting. Probably any pistol grip / thumbhole would be an improvement if enlarged to take the bigger barrel.

Boyd's blaster gave me good results. Designed for offhand shooting and ticks your boxes, about $270 landed and 14 days to arrive.
