Thread: Ruger American Predator .308- 18" barrel

Has anyone used/bought the Ruger American Predator .308 with the 18" barrel? I've always liked short handy rifles. I have a Howa Mini 223 and love its handiness..... Thanks :-)

got an American in 3006 barrels a bit thin but would be an ok hunter as long as you didn't take more than say 3 shots in quick succession she starts to wander after that

Predator models normally have a slightly heavier contour than the American, about right I reckon.

Ive got a Ruger Ranch Rifle 5.56, a great wee rifle

Shoots well with my 77 gr SMK homeloads using recycled military mixed brass.

First time trying it out and checking bullet drop this is at 500 yards.
