Ruger American Ranch .22 LR Bolt

Hi new here. I just got my FAL and bought my first rifle Ruger American Ranch .22 LR. Found this rifle's bolt is easy to open but hard to close. Push very hard to close. Is normal?
Never fire and no bullet loaded. Just try to open and close the bolt. I saw the bolt action is smooth on Youtube. But for me, it is very hard to close the bolt.

    Cheers.

    That's normal for those rifles.

If your unsure of the action or think somethings not right take it back to the store you purchased it from and let them cycle the action. They will know straight away if it feels ok or not.

Thanks. I tried another Ruger .22 at H&F today, found it is same hard to close bolt. But CZ 455 .22 LR is much easy to close. It is not big issue for me.

I believe they get better with use and can be polished smoother. Pretty sure I saw a video on YouTube about it.

My new Ruger American. 22lr opens and closes pretty easily and smooth. Shoots pretty good as well. Still trying different ammo to see which it likes best. PMC zapper is the best by far at the moment.
