    Ruger M77 International

Does anyone own one of these/seen one in NZ? Beautiful looking rifles, I've never seen or heard of one locally though!

Last one I laid eyes on was in 270 which was the only reason why I did not buy it. Now before all the 270 fanboys get on their high horse I have nothing against the round but in an 18 inch barrel that was not possable to suppress it did not appeal.
Seen a few 308s around to, both mark ones and twos.

From memory (Not very reliable) John Dywer ( spelling?) did an article years ago in NZ Guns and Hunting about a Mark one 308.

Fairly rare here in NZ. You’d have better chance finding a full wood No1.

Although the odd one has popped up on here for sale over the years, but I’m always to slow!

I remember walking into the Dart about 14 years ago and bumping into a bloke who had one. I want to say it was 7x57 but surely a rifle that cool can't exist...it was probably a 308.

Back in the mid 80s I sold a new International in 250 Savage. It was one of the rifles Howard Lopdell imported when I had a small gun shop in Rotorua. It had a very nice stock for a Ruger.
