    S & B Zenith 1.5-6x42 or NF NXS 2.5-10x32

Thinking about getting a new scope for my Sako 85 Black Bear .308. Has anyone tried or had any experience of the Schmidt & Bender Zenith 1.5-6x42 (FD4 reticle) or Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x32 (Vel reticle)? I believe that both are 2nd plane reticles - which is good for my purposes. Bush and the occasional longer shot, 300-400m max. Thanks.

Got the new 2.5-10x42 meant to have the new HD glass?
It seams like a good wee scope with weight also its lighter then my march 3-24x42

Might also be worth a look also, never seen the 2.5-10x32 nightforce tho?

The NF is around $2,400 and the weight is only 19oz, which is marginally more than a Leupold VX6 2-12X42 illuminated. Do you not consider the NF to have good glass for the price?

Yeah, it looks good and I'm considering it also. The Swarovski Z6 1.7-10x42 is a little less in price and about 4oz lighter so that's an option too.

I will have a 2.5-10x42 next week all going well from all reviews so far the glass is a step up from the normal nxs glass more like atacr and they feature the same new digilum illumination controls as well

Great. Please let us know what you think of it.

I can buy a S&B Zenith 1.5-6x42 with the Fire Dot 4 or 9 reticle for $2,450 landed including freight and G.S.T. I thought the reticle was in the 2nd FP (as incorrectly stated on one website) but it's in the 1st FP - which is okay, but not what I would prefer. So I guess that scope is out of contention.

Go for Nightforce NXS scopes. They will work perfectly for you.
