I had a saiga a while ago you have to put the mag in tilted forward to make sure it catches at the front then pull it back/up to click it in, not sure if its the same as what youve got but give it a go

Is your s12 working with the factory mags ok?

Most s12's are designed to work as big_foot describes, eg rock and lock like a std ak-not strait insert like a AR.
Some s12's came with a mag well to enable strait inserting-and they take mags without the front lip. You may have mags made for,or modified for this set up.
A photo of your mag and the mag well area on your gun would let us know

Promags aren't junk, mine run great. Not sure why it's falling out, however there should have been a piece of paper supplied with fitting Instructions, to ensure a tight fits you sometimes need to file a bit off.

My Promags fitted first off but my MD Arms one didn't and needed tweaking

+1, the 30 round ProMag works fine in my Saiga carbine, if a bit of a tight fit.

Same here, they have worked fine for me.

But the name "promag" isnt ninja commando enough for some people and doesnt look cool enough in front of the mirror..

Or maybe some of us just got burnt by the brand to often to want to give them another cent. By all accounts they are not the same as they once were-still not giving them any more of my $ unless there is no other choice
