Hey just wanting to get an estimate on the value of this, my grand papi got this out of the shed and wants me to sell it for him.
Sako M78 .22 Hornet - It's in really really good condition.
Ignore the scope.

I'll gladly take if off your hands for $400.
Welcome to Sako club.
No idea on value, BUT let us know when you work it out if it's for sale. (without scope or rings.)
I have no idea either, BUT you could take it in to a gun store and whatever they offer you plus half could be getting closer to the worth. That's sort of a guess based on what I've heard from the guys at a store.
Very Nice
I'd love that in my collection but am afraid I could not afford it.
My advise is give your Grandad whatever he wants for it and keep it in the family.
Pass it onto your Grand Kids.
I'd wouldn't be surprised to see that make $1k or more.
Seems whatever the value of any given rifle is if it's in .22 Hornet it's always a few hundy more.
Gunauction.com has one listed at $1200us buy now with a 3-9 VariX II leuopold on top.
Cheers
Pete
My uncle had one ,sold on trademe for 1200 with fixed 4x leupold a couple of years ago, it was in excellent cond. Maybe worth around 1100 without scope
Nah fuck that. Don't put it up for auction her or on TM. Some idiot (no offence intended) will put four different barrels on it, forget why it is in the cabinet chop it, glue it , paint it and then sell it anyway.
Keep it in the family
For an interesting read..... SAKO - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And 22-250 is sort of right, I'd can it for a start.....
id say someone would happily pay 1k + for that
put it up on trademe at around 950 reserve and starting bid and let it see what happens from there
Id love a sako 22 horney
but sadly I dont have the money
If you want top dollar get the barrel and condition looked at and commented on by a professional before you start the auction
seat of the pants guess says that you will get 1200-1400 for it. take trademes cut out of that and it brings it down closer to a grand.
If you are serious about selling this Rifle I'm offering $1,100. I'm based in Melbourne VIC. Thanks. Robert Blackwell Ph. 0410281608
