Anyone done one, have any ideas, think I'm retarded for wanting one, etc?
I have a floorplate 75 III action that I want to convert to DBM.

Okay. See if we can switch the parts. I'll come round, you home today?
Before NYE sometime? Give me a text when you're down...
I can remove the factory parts from mine, should just be a straight swapover....
Well you are at it you might as well put a key lock bolt shroud on it too.
only you know what you want. I wouldn't dream of changing to a mag I can loose.
but that is only my personal preference
he can have that too if he wants...
I'm not worried about losing it. I've never lost a detachable mag from anything else, and I really prefer the detachable system instead of the floorplate. It's nice being able to load/unload the rifle in one step by removing the magazine, and I like being able to carry a or several spare loaded mags.
Hi Gimp ,
If you want a good cheaper mag that can be made to run in a Sako 75 , maybe want to look at using a AI AW 10rd mag , saw a guy in Aussie was modifing his Sako to use the AW mag , it maybe an option you want to look into .

I have seen a Roedale aftermarket mag kit (uses AI mags) modified to fit an older Sako action. Considered it, but since Wildmann has the factory parts, that'll suit me just fine.
No problem , the 10rd AW mag is a double feed/stack mag like the Sako one , but its much cheaper to buy ( 1/3 the price ) and holds more , 10rds .
AW mags are approx $100 each .

Yeah but the price of a conversion kit to fit the AW mags is a hell of a lot more than the price of swapping for the factory parts for free
10rds is a bit big anyway
that 10 rounder poking in your back would turn one of the nicest factory rifles out there into a pig,
