Question Sako 75 Hunter - anyone had experience with these?

Hello, in the process of researching a potential first rifle and have found a reasonable second hand Sako 75 Hunter .270. Does anyone have experience with this rifle and can comment on its suitability/performance in the hills/mountains chasing all species from fallow to tahr? I have reasonable shooting experience with different calibers especially 270/308, cheers.

They're better than the 85 imo with the exeption of the magazine catch. Be careful not to lose the mag.

very nice start as a first rifle
they seem to be selling for way more at the moment than usual
I paid 1400 for mine 10-12 years ago and they seem to have increased in value?

great shape to the stock, really great trigger nice 60degree bolt throw 3 lug bolt

Considering I’ve sold three 85’s for $1400-1800 and personally I reckon they’re better than the 75’s, I’d say it pays to shop around.

Prefer the 85 myself but the 75 is still a fine rifle.

I reckon the synthetic stock in the 75 is less heavy and clubby and is the pick of them. Particularly if you can find a Finnlight. The stock shape to me feels better than the 85.

    I have a 75 Finnlight and a 75 Laminate.
Would get another 75 in a heartbeat. Especially a nice wood stocked 6.5x55 Swe.

Love my 75 hunter it is a tad heavy but it comes up so nice and just feel good! Use to have a 85 and they are awesome too would happily have either one. You wont be disappointed if you buy it.
