Thread: Sako A1 222

Common theme it seems..police issue 222 used to belong to a deceased mate so sentimental value. Exterior and stock excellent (see blued steel walnut thread). First third of barrel severe fire cracking no rifling left towards throat. I think its too good not to rebarrel. Either 223 or 222 12” twist? Keep old barrel with open sights in case someone wants to do a full CM blued restoration and refit open sights. Want to stick with 223 or 222 rather than a 6mm option. Suggestions??? Any good used barrels out there or which new ones to consider?
