    Sako Carbon 243

Picked up an sighted in my new Sako yesterday. We fitted a VX5 2X7 HD scope, bore sighted and headed off to the range.

First rifle I've owned that I didn't have to make any adjustments to get it bang on at 100 yards !

Got to love that mate. Happy days!
I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.

How did you bore sight it? The old line bore up on a lemon on the tree trick or a gadget?

Love it when that happens....only had it once myself

Nice. I bore sight using a de-primed case in the chamber. You get better precision.

What sort of scope was it? VX5 2-7 HD??

Nice rifle. Got one of these in 260 from Buzzman. Shoots like a laser. Most of his rifles are poked due to barrel strain shooting along way standing on the road. this ones a ripper.

Last bore sighting I did was 6inches low at 50m, brought it up 3shots withen a milk bottle lid and that will do till I find a longer distance I can use

Yep, I do the same as Tahr, especially for the larger calibres. The trig on the nearby hill always gets me within 4 inches at 100m.
