Nothing wrong it shoots well but I have always liked the look and feel of the carbon light.

Well, that was fun to watch wasn't it ?

I expecxt te Tikka would handle it too, but I wonder how a blouser or SMLE would function after being jammed full of mud.

Of course, its easy to imagine real life mishaps much more testing than that: a fall on river boulders, drop down an orongorongo waterfall, liquid fuel stove leak etc. It would have been interesting to see a whole of system test, say retaining zero with a simple 6x Schmidt in optilock rings or after a good freeze thaw cycle, wipedown with WD40 and a bit of rattling around in the tray of a quad with steel gong targets.

It was a rifle test, not a scope test.

I’ve changed my load too. Was using 72gns of 2217 which was over max. Have gone to 73gns of 2225 and getting very good results with the 162 gn amax. Getting 3040 FPS at the muzzle and have shortened up the oal.

My plastic washer infested Blaser is 3.1 Kgs with the loopy bush scope on it and 3.3 with the heavier Zeiss scope.
