Who has got a Finnlight 2 and what do you reckon on the stock? What are the rubber grips like in use and do they wear better than those on the original Finnlights as those seemed to wear pretty quickly from the few I have seen first hand.
Cheers

I had one I didn't mind the stock I didn't have mine long enough for the grips to fail.
I sold it to buy a carbon light, I think I would but a standard finlight and get a Ken Henderson stock probably cheaper.
The check riser is a pain in think bush it catches on all sorts. I think Ken's stocks are higher in that area to allow for big lens scopes sitting higher.

My 75 Finnlight stock grips are in better nick than two of my mates 85 Finnlights despite my rifle being 12 years older.
Welcome to Sako club.
Agree with 25/08IMP, better off getting one of the soft touch standard finnlights. If you dont like the standard soft touch stock you have the option of changing it to one of kens hitech carbon fiber stocks .
Running gear on the cheek riser in the finnlight 2 stock is chrome moly , as is the rifle bolt , plus the sling studs/ rust. Total weight is a bit more hefty compared to standard soft touch finnlight....
I owned one briefly, "personally" was not very impressed with it , sold it and went back to soft touch model....
I like them and are a lot less slippery than a Ken one.

I like the Finn 2 stock. Being fiberglass it's more rigid than the standard Finnlight stock and I like the grips more more as well. Never had a problem with the cheek riser collecting anything or any rust issues, not even a spot, and it's been used in the bush almost exclusively and often wet conditions.
All model Sako bolts are chrome moly. Never seen a rusty Sako bolt but there must be some. I don't understand why Sako didn't use SS sling swivels on the Finn 2. Easy to change and not expensive but it makes you wonder. Same on stainless Tikka's too.
