Thread: Sako Finnlight II

I have a relative who wants to buy my Sako Finnlight II .308 with a DPT Mk II suppressor. The rifle is in perfect, unmarked condition, hasn't shot many rounds and groups 150 gr Sierra Gameking in to .50 MOA consistently for five shots. Only shot a couple of deer with it as I prefer my 6.5 Creedmoor. The Finn II has an extremely stiff fibreglass stock, cerakoted barrel and action and carbon fibre bedding block. Best of all though, it has an adjustable cheek riser which is perfect for using a thermal scope with most tending to sit pretty high on the rifle action action. Really nice rifles.

I paid $4,400 for the rifle three years ago and I believe they're around $4,900 now. I was thinking around $3K. Does that sound reasonable?

An 85 Finnlight 2, bare rifle 308 cal with a slightly shortened barrel, some small scratches on the stock, round count 250, sold on here a few months back for $2.5k. You contributed to the discussion before it sold actually. I've done a bit of research and haven't seen any others sold at that price though. $3k sounds reasonable.
The new sako 90 series will mean these devalue heeeeaps though. Yeah right lol

Yes - that was a bargain and sold quickly.

I think I sold my Finn 2 Creedmoor with rings for $3200 with 100 loaded rounds from memory.

Yeah my mate bought that and we thought it was a good price

I know of a couple brand new slow moving Finnlight 2 (1x .270 & 2x 6.5 Creedmoor) sitting on the shelf for $3k, several weeks before the public announcement of the new model 90

There is an earlier Finnlight with suppressor and I think scope in Custom Guns (also in Invercargill) for $3000

Thanks for the input guys. I'll be including optilock rings, suppressor and 75 rounds of ammo (Lapua brass, March primers & Sierra 150 GK's).
