    Sako Finnlight stock/action sizes

Can anyone tell me, will a Sako 75 finnlight no. IV action (6.5x55) fit into a no. V stock, and vice versa? Do both actions use the same stock, or are there different stock sizes for all the different action sizes?

Also how do you tell what size a stock is, are they marked in some way?

You mean they're both the same size stock?

The stocks are different between action sizes. The bottom metal and spacing between the action screws will be different between the action sizes. Measure the bolt spacing on your action / stock vs the one you are looking to replace it with

75 actions were denoted by Roman numerals, 85 actions by Capital letters...

Looking at buying a no. IV action rifle (but don't have it yet) and someone has offered me a finnlight stock which could be either no IV or no V so don't have either to measure just yet. Would anyone with either of these be able to give me some sizes for distance between action screws and length of inlet? Much appreciated...

the way to find what you are looking for will be to look at aftermarket stocks like mcmillian

I wouldn't mind a factory III 308 length finnlight stock if someone has one running spare after going carbon fiber
