Thread: Sako Powerhead Blade 7mm Rem Mag, anyone tried it?

The UK deer industry is foolishly going down the 'lead free factory ammo only' route, but out importers are not showing initiative in bringing stuff in.

At around 160 NZD for a box of 20, it's hardly plinking ammo...

A mate used it in his 6.5 creedmoor before telling me how expensive it was and me saying nah bugger that ill do you some handloads. He said They worked well. Being monolithic they like to go fast. Id say they will crush animals out of a rem mag. Wouldn't be too keen to go past 300m with them though.

Price will be in part due to the Sako name tax.

140grn going 3000 fps isnt eggzachary honking along.....
the limited usage Ive had with monos you want them as fast as you can get them and go lighter to get it...a 120grn would be better in .284 if not a 110grn.... but you may as well be using a 7mm-08 to push it out.
$8 a round is just plain insane.
110grn monos in .270 kill ok,but no better than any basic cup n core will do the job.
