Looking at the magazines, they have that familiar Tikka look. One action size fits all, so guessing there is only one action length / size. What say you @ChrisW ?

Yes correct. Its sort of like an A7, a TRG and a Tikka had a baby. Correct one action length. The mags are double stack, single feed. You can get 10 rounders in standard cals, and I think 7 or 8 rounders for magnum calibers.

What the stock/chassis reminds me of is the Accuracy International "green meanie", in that its a full aluminium skeleton with slabs on it for ergonomics.

How much is the other version with the non-thumbhole stock i wonder

I had a chance to measure the S20' s magazine. The short action caliber magazine (308 etc) looks like it will allow for somewhere around 76-77mm COAL.
We don't currently have a magnum version here for me to measure, but the external measurement of the magazine is about 100mm, so an educated guess would give the long action cartridges a potential COAL of somewhere around 95mm.

All these sub-half moa groups are 3 shots MAX, and mysteriously have a habit of not being shot on demand and in public

I shot the group I posted while rushing to sight in a couple rifles last minute before a training day. It was literally the only group I ever shot with the S20 (and still is). Prior to that group, the rifle had only fired a few single rounds (followed by scope adjustments), then shot that group when close to zero before final adjustment. It was the first group through a brand new rifle. I can understand people would think it would be cherry picked. Fully understandable. I just thought that it was pretty impressive, given that it was my only try at a group, from a brand new rifle, and with factory ammo. But hey, maybe the stars aligned
Working to put together a public day (possibly next month, in AKL) where people can come and test for themselves.

Not a Sako fan or even a crank bolt fan but I like the concept and if it isint too pricey it would make a nice addition to the cabinet. One in 6.5 or 30 PRC would be tempting.

Might get banned because of the scary removable pistol grip and butt.

Still a really expensive Rifle though . Plus each version is more expensive . Wont be buying one . Sako are always overpriced this one appears no exception

I don’t think they are overpriced. They just appear expensive compared to the cheap shit on the market.

So this is sakos version of the hybrid like the bergara hmr etc?

Seems cool and well thought out. Also seems like it's a bit stuck in the middle like many of these styles of rifle. Be a good weekend gong basher I spose.
