I built one from a L461 parts rifle. I bought a PPC mag box & follower from the US and milled the action to suit, opened bolt face etc. Came up really nice. Its living up in Hawkes Bay area now iirc.

    Nope dont do it.
It is obviously shot out and buggered and also worthless.
I'll shout you a pie and a six pack of beers to take it off your hands.

6x45 is your best bet. However with the shortish mag box, I suggest you’ll be using @Wingman zero freebore reamer. This will then have you effectively only using 70-75gr bullets (which isn’t a bad thing). With that setup I’d be going to a 1-14” twist barrel and running it hot. You’ll get a pretty easy 3000fps with those bullet weights, and it’ll shoot tight groups.

I’ve had a number of 6x45s, and still have one. Currently shoot 70gr ballistic tips in it, have no problems shooting any deer within sensible ranges. Another mate of mine has shot animals tallying close to hundreds with this projectile.
