    Probably the best bit of advice.
    Very few manufacturers nowadays make a short action specifically for .222 / .223., What you tend to find is a medium action eg 308 / 243 which also chambers for .223 with a corresponding medium length bolt and magazine. (economies of scale)
    I recently found a mint Sako .222 on TM which was the very old 1960's model L461. Wasn't cheap but imo old Sako quality is unbeatable and can easily be rechambered to .223 if thats the cal.you're looking for.
