    Sauer 100

    Anyone got one?
I like the idea better than the 101, at least you can change the barrel out on these, obviously the stock isn't as good with dark Stained Beech instead of the nice walnut I've seen one a couple of 101's but the whole idea of not being able to change a barrel out bugs me.
Also I think it's good to see something with a solid Euro name come in and compete with the T3, Tikka have had a damn good run there, with very good reason though, also comes in 300+ less than a new 527 CZ
5year warranty, 4 shot magazine for the 223 and Magnums, 5 for the mediums takes Remington 700 bases or rail

    I hope they shoot well

Sounds like yours is in the very desirable "Hard Woody" model?

    Well I couldn't get my 22 250 back.
Yeah, as above Dark Stained Beech, already been treated with the universal Boiled Linseed oil stuff.

I've looked over them a lot on the wrong side of the Tasman. One of the larger guns stores here has had a sale on them $800 for a 308 classic xt.

I might know where a 22-250 is available for a swap for a Sauer! Could check them out at the Big Bore Shoot!

800 Aud for the plastic one isn't bad considering the new plastic one is ceracoated and factory threaded 14/1
I'd wait for that one if I was you

I have a 101 in 6.5 creedmoor - love it - very accurate, nice to shoot - brilliant trigger
Mine was the ‘plastic’ stock, cherkoted 2 magazines and threaded

Interesting that you say that you can change the barrel on the 100. Are you thinking that they are threaded? In his article in the latest NZHunter Greg says that the 100 uses the heat shrink/barrel lock up method?

    Nice rifle in any event.

I Think he means on the 404 and 101 the barrels are multi lugged so a lot more expensive-difficult to rebarrel if needed.
