    Savage MKII accutrigger replacement

Has anyone replaced the accutrigger on a Savage MkII with something better? Mine is very spongy and starting to annoy me. The only replacement I can find is Rifle Basix - 1) are there any other options? 2) Has anyone used the Rifle Basix and is it ok?

I haven't got your rifle but have been down the after market trigger path and the problem I found was often the replacement trigger like Timney was worth as much as the rifle.
Give it to a good gunsmith , $60 approx for a trigger job and you might be very surprised with the results.

I want to replace the trigger blade regardless of the pull weight/creep as I don't like the 2 floppy bits that make up the accutrigger blade.

It is easy to replace a Savage trigger. I have replaced several. I replaced them with Sako, Anschutz, Ruger, Marlin, BSA etc. Worked a treat. You don't even need to disassemble the rifle.
