I believe so. Still , i found the dial isnt easy to bump, so without a zero stop considering how low profile it is i expect it to be fine.

I guess just learn how far from bottom or top it is and you will have a reference point i.e my Zeiss doesn't have zero stop installed but I know its 21 MOA from the bottom so can always do a re check.

Yea I don't really see the point in it as I'm definately gonna know if I have dialled a shot out past 20moa and you would have to be the roughest bastard out there to bump the dial more than a half a turn so even if it's out of line it's pretty easy to put it back. As a matter of interest I have been using VX3 and VX6 scopes for a number of years in all sorts of situations and never once had one bump even a click. Have shot at a chamois after forgetting to return the dial to zero though, but that could happen with any setup

is it possible to put a 1/4 moa cds dial on the windage turret of vx2 or vx3 scopes ?

    i am trying to make a light-weight (+/- 350 g) dial-up scope...

Thanks Ryan, was it like that when you bought it or did you send away for the windage CDS dial ?

I bought it on here already with the cds on elevation and windage but it had been sent away to have it done as had the receipt from leupold in the box. If it were me doing it now I would just buy a normal vx3 and buy two sets of the SOD dials and put them on or one with CDS already and just buy the SOD for the windage, Reloaders have them in stock.
