I've had several Bushnell Banner 4-12A0 scopes and they are good value - suit the rimfires well. Have one on my 17HMR.

The other make offering good value/performance are the Nikkos - esp the Airking or gold Crown models. Must have had a dozen Nikkos on various rimfires and have not had a dud.

I would agree with Mudgripz on the Nikko Airking range. I have them on 22LRs and love mine. They do a 4-12 that would be ideal. Should be around $200 including a mount. I have an Arctic Fox 4-12 here somewhere that is similar price and quality but you cant really go wrong with the Nikko. As for more pricy / better grade options, the Night eaters by Nikko or the Sightron S1 may be worth a look too.

How much you want to spend. I like a Burris Fullfield 2, Burris C4 or a Nikon Monarch or Buckmaster. Many other good options, all dependant on what features and price you want.

Been using a little Redfield 3-9x40 Scope. Compared it to a Leupold VX1 and the Leupold was a touch brighter. The Redfield performs well and has no real poi shift through the mags.

I use a nikko 4-16x44 AO mildot on my HMR. Its great for the price. The glass isn't vortex quality at 16x def not but its a lot cheaper.

Mate get the Buckmaster on trade me. Decent glass for the money and a good power range with the side focus too.

You can match the dots with the hmr via the spot on app on the nikon web site. Pretty handy. I print mine off and laminate it for wet weather.
