I've got a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 on my HMR, and although probably better than 'mid-range', the clarity of the glass is so bloody good
for spotting that bunny under the bush, or 'is that a wallaby or not' when the light fades, they are just about unbeatable. They really come into their own in poor light, so it really boils down to figuring out the type of shooting you're going to do with it before making a choice.

Thanks for the input guys, since its going to be used with a 22 & 17 barrels it needs to have a medium low mag & I want a bit up top ( I had a 3-9 Elite on it but would like a little slightly higher mag )

was thinking of maybe a Bushy Elite 5-15 but they have a couple of down sides their turrets are fucken enormous & the mildot cross hairs are quite fat, VX 3 4.5- 14 CDS or Varmint ret if the $$$ were right, Clearidge ?, Weaver ?
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

With the shortish range of an HMR I much prefer a balistic reticle to dialing and would'nt you know it the above svope has the TDS reticle
