I'm getting a Remmy 700 that's going to need glass fitting to it.
Any suggestions?
I didn't win Big Wednesday so no Swaro's, Nightforce's or Leica's on my list, but I would like pretty good glass for it though.

My standard response, check out the Nikon Monarchs! They are my favourites, also look at the Weaver Grandslam or Superslam, Leupolds, Burris Fullfield and probably my next favourite the Bushnell Elites. All good scopes for the money and around the $300 - $600 mark. Getting from the states also saves you heaps so look online.

Superslam. I take it you want to dial. These in my opinion are the bang for buck scope and they hold zero and are repeatable decent glass yeah i like them.and im buying more

Cheers Spuddy. Which Monarch is you fav?
Been going through opticzone site. Lots to choose from.
Anyone used a Bushnell with the DOA reticle? Looks interesting.

I dont muck around with them. Learn to dial and put it where you want it.

Nikon Monarch 2.5-10 X 42 Black Matte, BDC Reticle, 8411, Rifle Scope: Arcadian Sales
This is the one like I have (mine is the older 3-9x40), they also have a tactical range if you want to dial and their Spot-on program lets you dial any load to your scope and even order custom turrets for your load so you just dial in the distance and go for it!
Nikon Spot On™ Ballistic Match Technology Program
Have a play with their programme.

Ok reticle types....
What would be a good one to go for?
I've used MilDot before and quite like it.
Would like something that will be useful for mainly hunting but also some LR stuff as well.

The beauty of the suoerslams is there 5x zoom ratio. Giving you the options of 2-10, 3-15, 4-20
If you go with ine avoid the ebx or whatever there holdover reticle. Just look for the duel x reticle keep it simple the turrets do the work . Milldots are usefull though

Reticules tend to be a personal preference thing, if you getting a tactical scope you don't need a holdover reticle, as creepingdeath said, mildots can be useful and they don't make the reticule look cluttered like some of the others.
I use the Nikon BDC which i quite like and have the drop chart dialed in for my handloads.

I like the prices of the Weavers at Natchez, they seem heavy.

Weaver 4-20X50 Super Slam Riflescope Side Focus Dual-X Reticle Matte - Natchez Shooters Supplies
probably knowing how far and how well you can shoot i think i have got the perfect scope for you here - 4x20 Bentley
