Hi guys, any suggestions on a scope under $350 for a 223 varminting. Ideally new. The wallets thin.
Cheers

Burris full field II
leupold vx freedom, wait for a sale. i have one and its good value. not to mention the warranty on leupold is 2nd to none
Not sure what the price is but the Vortex diamondback tactical gets good reviews considering the price.
I'd also look into Athlon scopes as they too het good reviews even for the low end models.
As above the Burris Fullfield 2 is a great option, pretty basic but reliable.
Burris have a few newer options that may do well for your intended purpose.
Importing a scope from the USA is still a feesable option and is usually a better idea for cheaper optics than it is more expensive ones.
I have a Leupold Freedom 3-9 x 40 surplus to requirements if you are interested. Purchased from Reloader Supplies 4 November 2019. Sell for $350 delivered to your door.
Mounted once and 'used' once. Looked too bulky for the rifle it was on, swapped it out for a VX3i 2.5- 8.
I bought a couple of refurbished Nikon Buckmaster II 3-9x40 scopes from Natchez in the US, cost NZ$132 to get here, Helluva good scope. I need to check it's sighting though as I arsed up in a creek last trip and drowned the rifle and scope and hit the rocks on the bottom! The scope hasn't fogged at all. It is much brighter and clearer than my Redfield Revolution 3-9x40.
The only thing that puts me off getting one is it getting stuck in Auckland if NZ Post won't deliver...... It's certainly not worth driving from Auckland to pick it up!
Just for shit and giggles I emailed NZ Post about their policy on firearms..... No way Jose........
@bumblefoot how long ago did you order from Natchez ? I wouldn’t mind a refurbished Nikon rimfire scope but am wondering how much red tape is in the way.
Grouchy Smurf had it right all along...
