    Hey guys, many thanks for the opinions and recommendations. I've ruled out the 1.5-5x Leupold and the 1-6x GPO Spectra on their poor light gathering due to the straight tube. I'll go with either Whanahuia's recommendation on the GPO Spectra 1.5-9x (has a 32mm objective lens) or the GPO Passion 3-9x with a 44mm objective lens. This scope has a FOV at 3x that is close to a 2x scope.
