I beg to differ on the light gathering of the wee scopes..... remember the rule of 7.... why a 4x32 is so good and a 6x42 is about ideal...for every increase in power yo uneed 7mm of lens so your straight tube is 25 (ish) mm 3x7=21 so at middle power settings it will still be pulling in as much light as your eyes can use.
its all relative and a trade off.
