About LinkBacksUnlike VC I like the Weaver Classic, mine has taken some beatings and weather and been very reliable and the glass is nicer than a VX1. Anything in that price range will generally be reliable though there is always the chance of a dud. When I eventually upgrade from the 3-9 Nikko Nighteater on my 223 (which is actually bloody good for a $200 scope) I'm leaning towards a Vortex Diamondback 4-12, seem to get excellent reviews.
+1 on importing as well, easy and much cheaper than they usually are in shops here.
