    Yes the Vortex do represent very good value for money in some price brackets, but they are not "as good as a vx3 or vx6" as the H&F salesmanwoman will tell you.

    Vortex what? Budget $200 scopes like Crossfire or $300 diamondback? $800 viper? or top line 3k+ Razor?

    4-12 "as good as a vx6" from hunting and fishing.

    Check out some of the scope prices in Aus at the moment are not bad. I use a Bushnell LRH 3-12 X 44 its Mils, FFP works ok found them for $1000 Aus other day. Use with Bushnell Rangefinder binos set to meters and gives a fairly close ballistic adjustment for angle etc. Just dial the top and can use reticle for wind. But now I want to up-size and now "need" an illuminated reticle, the arms race to kill better never stops...

    Leupold vx 3 3.5 - 10 x 40mm with CDS. Not big and not too small Baby Bear.
