Gibo, if you don't have a clamp, just try the test off the most stable rest you have. Still worth while.

It could of course also just be that the dial is ok, but your wind estimation is not. I'm assuming you're measuring wind at the firing point. Terrain could have massive impact (shooting thru the lee of a hill vs over a gully). Is your mate shooting same caliber and load ? Check cant/lean.
