So what happened to the horse?
This is the main problem with both cz, brno and jw15.
Older scopes have smaller ocular. I've used a 4x32 redfield (c1985) and a leupold vx-1 2-7 (c2010) but newer scopes the fashion is something too chunky. I once filed out the scope bell on an old miroku ! Bad idea you need more like 5mm clearance not 1mm and the bolt still touched as it wobbles when used.
My advice is to get higher mounts.
Sold the Bushnell and have been doing some research on what size eye piece scopes have.
I tried every mount in reloaders with the Bushnell I was going to use. Nothing fitted.
So different scope it is.

I used medium tikka rings on my Brno model 2 and have had a couple different scopes on it no problem, mostly leupolds tho and they have smaller oculars than most.
redfield revolution has a 40.6mm eyepiece.......have one on my mauser the bolt just clears it....... heres a thought have a look at your old redfield on your mauser if it fits put that o you 22 and upgrade your optics on your deer rifle
I have found I usually put better optics on my 22s than my deer rifles,I use the 22 way more than deer rifle and a rabbits head at 50m is a much smaller target than deers kill zone at 100m,unless you are long range hunting a 4x is all you really need on a centrefire.in fact I use a red dot on my .308 most of the time, put the Leupold on your jw in a set of tikka rings and go hunting!
The Burris FF2 will fit, eye piece diameter is 40mm.
I'm amazed you couldn't find any rings that were high enough.
Cheers.
I was planning on doing so. But I don't have any where close by to shoot small game so I decided to spend the money practicing hunting.
If I ever find a place then it'll get a birthday. Or a sibling lol
Yeah I was surprised too. Normally they've got a pretty decent amount product's and range. I will keep an eye out for one.
