    Scope... Issue

    Hey fellows

When I wind the elevation turret to the top a black ring encroaches on the bottom of the view...

When I wind the elevation turret all the way down it does but from the top...

    The scope is FFP

    It would appear that either

The recticle is moving more than intended/designed.

The recticle is no longer in the correct part of the path of light from front to back and as they are cone shaped from the lenses they get smaller/bigger.

I apologise for my compleat lack of technical terms and spelling/grammer

A, don't use it at the extreme top or bottom of its range.

    B, get a SFP scope
Contact me for reloading components, brass, projectiles, powder, primers, etc

Yup firstly Its not mine and I certainly wouldn't pay that kinda money for one.

Greg I'm with you on the SFP mate

But "don't use it on the end of its range" I mean really hahaha

It's a top end Nightforce lol ... "Yeah it's good as long as you don't dial up or down too much... Then you can't see thru it properly"

I was under the impression that FFP was the way to go? Is there a different school of thought? (Genuinely interested in what people have to say about this)

I guess what I'm interested in knowing is ... Is this faulty or as Greg suggested just don't dial that far?

FFP is the way to go. Reticle valid on any magnification, sensible reticle design is adequately thick/thin on any magnification, i.e. S&B P4F. No reason to choose SFP over FFP except cost at which point lol considering the money we waste on this retarded shit, custom rifles etc
