looking at getting a scope level (1" scope tube), just seeing what everyone is using?
shopping options seem limited in NZ with a quick google I did.
cheers

Went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.
Mate shots with a Wheeler one from Reloaders. I know he loves it (like a vegetarian, tells everyone he meets haha!), really good for uber long range stuff.
Honestly mate, I don't really think it's needed within the ranges you and I will shoot too.
Just another thing to add weight and look at.
I can get a pretty good feel for if I'm holding rifle level.

Iv got a fold out one if you want to buy it.
Have one these, it's for 25mm and 30mm
It's yours if you send me a self address envelope.
Personally only use one for 1000+ and just a night force top ring with bubble level attached.

Agree 100%. I would never entertain having one on a sporting rifle, no point.
OP hasn't stated his type of shooting though.
Even for super long range hunting the effect of wind will nobble you first.
I do however have them on my F Class rifles.
I have a US Optics and a Hollands which clamp to the rail and fold out (would be an abomination on a hunting rifle as I frequently forget to fold them back in.) I also have 2 Vortex 30mm ones that clamp on the scope tube.
The trick is to try and remain level headed
For long range I use one.
Simple way of looking at it is:
Your scope sits about 40mm above your bore. If your rifle is dropping 7000mm at 1000y...then if you were out by only 2mm at the scope, your bullet would strike 350mm off target.
If your only shooting at a couple hundred meters...don't worry about it, you could almost hold it like a black gansta with minimal effect

ive got one, i took it off last week as ive used it like, 3 times

Can't remember brand, but about $50 and weighs nothing and doesn't get in the way of anything. I like having it there and most of the time don't worry about it...but every now and then I look at it, especially shooting across a slope and I catch myself out with just how far out I am. But 90% of the time your brain will get you so close its not needed.
