I always locktite mine, using blue
Loctite 222
Thanks I'm off to get some.
Rails or bases to the action I use this Loctite Threadlocker Med 50ml - Promotions - George Henry & Co. Ltd. although any medium strength loctite will do.
If necessary I also skim bed to bases onto the action with Devcon - only if poor fit. No loctite used on rings cross screws or ring cap screws.
Torque to recommended settings. Some don't recommend loctite on the bases to action - these coming loose on a hunt is the worst case scenario. Yeh if everything is a perfect fit not needed..................
Not needed on a Sako.
Or a blaser

Loctite blue is way overkill on 6-48 and 8-40 screws
If you're mounting a scope to a rail, and the rail is already fixed to the receiver, Loctite isn't needed for doing up scope cross bolts, just torque them to 65 in lbs
