Any suggestions on a scope, i want a 6-24×50 or about that, its going on a 300wm for open tops hunting, price range 1500-2000 whats your best bang for buck out there at the moment, been looking at the zeiss v4 which is just over budget, also illuminated reticle would be good, cheers

6-24x50 makes for a big, heavy scope to be hauling around all day. Do you really need all that?

Not buzzed on the zeiss v4 minimum of 6 is a right pain I use to have a 5-25 hd5 was ok but a pain up close hard to go past the vx5 you had baring in mind the scopes within that budget will be crap at top zoom anything past 18 they will likly be unusable but if it's what you really want I'd look at the deltas with in budget ment to be the bees knees and I think they do a 4.5-24x50 for me 3 is the highest low point il go

You would be hard pushed to go past that NF shv.
I have owned them and my son has one on his rifle.
    Common sense says NF

Delta Ti HD 4-24x50 for that price range would be a good option. How far do you plan on shooting? 18x is plenty for 7-800 yards and more. This gives you options in 3-18 range & in some cases 44mm objectives

Get the Delta 4 - 24 with illuminated dot and turret. Exceptional, better than Swaro Z5. A bit bigger, comparable to a Leupold for size but the mag is usable right up to x24 and 24 is a big advantage on long shots.

Ive got one on my 270wsm and they are outstanding. Have shot hundreds of big and small critters with it.
My parallax adjustment knob is a little stiff but apart from that I cant fault it. Dials accurately. Shots in the 300-400 range are bread and butter. Late dusk the other night I turned the illuminated reticle on for the first time in anger and it was great. 300 yards just on dark and it made it so easy. Up to to now I thought it was a gimmick.
