Also, there is a tree root, dark red in apparence mixed with the boil linseed to give it a red/ dark tin. It is called orcanette.

Think it’s alkanet root. I’ve played with that too. Takes a long time to infuse into the base oil, but does add that nice red tinge to the wood (once you get enough in there)
