    Unhappy Sellers regret

Alright guys. We have all done it and cried for years after.

What rifle or other item did you sell and will regret forever?

For me it was my Sako 85 Hunter in 270WSM. Wood blued with a Leupold VX3. Just a beautiful rifle although I’ll admot I didn’t make good use of it, I was young and busy with rubbish.
I sold it for less than half of what it was worth but the worst part of it was the sentimental value it had, it was he knly rofle me and my old man had fired together on the farm he worked on before he karked it.

So what’s your stories of the beauty you will forever miss? The rifles not the women.. :p

A mint condition BSA Majestic .30/06 with a 4x Macro Ziel scope (needed some cash for school uniforms). I have also sold lots of very collectable firearms over the years that I would have liked to keep.

my xy v8 manual falcon and my super original low mileage xw Fairmont mind you I got enough for a house deposit from it so wasn't a total loss and of all things a stirling semi 22 most consistently accurate rimfire with any kind of ammo you could feed it

Sold a .44 Mag lever action to a forum member to fund a 444 rifle. Should have just kept that .44.
Traded a perfectly fine Mini 14 for a crap Remlin 30-30.

Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

SAAF issued Lemania 5012 watch. Chances of me getting another one are pretty slim.

My AMT "Small Game Hunter II" - a 10/22 clone, entirely stainless (real stainless) - stupidly accurate. Heavy to carry but DAMNIT that thing made a tiny hole with lots of shots!
Also..... maybe some regret.... a 96/22 that went to @Double Shot on here - but it went to a good home so I don't miss it too much

    Rem700 in .270

sold it to buy a lighter model7, found out the hard way lighter isn't better, for me anyway.

Best not to sell a good one.
surprising how you can have a rifle sitting in the safe for a couple of years without use, then get the urge to take it out and enjoy it all over again, all the old memories come back from other places, hunts.

you could start a thread on rifles that should have bought and later regretted.
    a Ruger No.1 Tropical in .458
    .243 Sako A11 Varmint
    .303 Marini carbine
    6mm /.303 singleshot
    etc etc etc . . .

Yeah that’s nice. Nothing like a good reliable watch with a bit of character rarity.
