    never had a Marlin 795 but I think that's what I sorted for my uncle years ago. he's happy with it. Doesn't shoot targets but it always hits the possums and hares etc he aims at.
    I am also very happy with my 10/22 I bought back in the 90's. Always works and always shot what I wanted. I could never blame the rifle for missing. All on me
    I have also tinkered with it with no proof that what I did worked but that wasn't the guns fault. That was me being a dickhead trying to be clever
    I am hearing that it is preferable to get the earlier ones than the later models. Something about the plastic trigger housing, but I have no idea when that started.
