I'd get the Savage International Trophy Hunter package.

Awesome value for money, and scope is not to bad either. Nothing wrong with a spare scope, if you really dont want it can always flog it for some extra ammo.

    I don't see the problem?

If he said "I'm not Scottish" or "I'm not Dutch" - both nationalities also perceived by many as being excessively frugal, would it have been as offensive?

I once talked to a Scottish person for a few minutes, I'd be deeply offended by such a heinous choice of words.

    +1

I fit that description having both of those frugal bloodlines in me. And yes it shows.

Buy one that feels right for you
Be a shop-around slut and come up to Auckland for a day or trip around TA and Hamilton to try out a few

Check the for sale section, there was a guy selling a CZ for around the 1300 mark scoped he may be interested in a deal without the scope in or close to your price range if he still has it.
May have to go back a page or three
