    Service rifle 3x or 4x

Quick poll: Cheaper optic Vortex 3x $599 or Lucid 4x $799

Enough difference between the 3 vs 4 power to pay more or not?

    Cheers

    Wayne

How do you rate the reticle? Is it a bit busy or does it work for you?

I would prefer less I guess, hadn't thought about it so can't be to bad-better than the crosshair acogs imho. to be fair I have only been using it on airsoft for airsoft 3gun matches so drop marks are handy! I plan to put it on my .22 ar when back in NZ

I tried both the Burris 332 and Vortex Spitfire and preferred the Vortex reticle by far.
Haven't tried the Lucid x4, only their red dots. Seem pretty good.
Wayne, did you try my Vortex In the end at the Carbineers practice day? Can't remember if you did.

I had look through yours but never shot with it. I'm sorta fishing to see if the extra magnification of the 4x over the 3x is a benefit, that and if I don't pull my finger out I'll have nothing to shoot at the ASRA champs...guess it ain't the end of the world, i got the $ set aside so i could get either. (Only issues is the P7 is on the never never, never know when the bloody thing is going to arrive and reloaders has a Vortex in stock)

I think its best if you keep with Iron Sights Wayne, then I may have a slight advantage at the 500m mound...

Not just you mate, this is by far the most popular thing I have ever posted up. And I really only posted it to show there were other options in the same price bracket. But I will sell it if somone comes up with some cash.
